The Next Spider-Man movie? Hmmm.
Spider-Man has quickly become one of the most important characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Especially considering his role in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
And now that Spider-Man: Far from Home has come and gone, Spider-Man fans can’t wait for the announcement of the next movie in the much-loved franchise. But unfortunately, there was no announcement made at Comic-Con 2019. Which was very disappointing as fans all over the world were looking forward to an announcement.
At the San Diego Comic-Con 2019, Marvel announced a plethora of upcoming movies that include The Black Widow, Eternals, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and many more.
Sony has been hinting that its collaboration with Marvel may end after the production of Far from Home. But there is no decided news on that front. It is likely that the continuation of the deal depends a lot on how the Spidey films perform at the box office.
How many Spidey movies does Tom Holland have left in his contract?
It was officially confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter in 2016 that Tom Holland had signed a 6 picture contract. Which will include three solo Spider-Man films and three appearances in movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He has already completed the MCU movies which include Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. If you have been keeping track, you would also know that two of the solo Spider-Man movies- Homecoming and Far from Home are done. That leaves just one solo Spider-Man movie.
Ever since his very well-received appearance in Captain America: Civil War, there has been a lot of love for our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. And now that we know for sure that there is going to be another solo Spider-Man movie, we can just relax and wait for the official announcement.
Will the next Spider-Man movie be the last we see of Spider-Man?
Everyone knows that Robert Downey Jr. renegotiated his contract multiple times from Iron Man to Avengers. So there is a huge possibility that Tom Holland’s contract will be renegotiated or renewed for sure. But all this is subject to the relationship between Sony Pictures and Marvel. If they do end up parting ways, we would have to bid adieu to our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
